Where do i look for the best train and hotel deals?

i'm looking to go to Plymouth from Taunton in just under 2 weeks time for a couple of nights with my partner, she went with a friend about 9 months ago for a great deal of �38 including train fare and hotel for 3 nites, where can i find something similar? as she cant remember how her friend booked it.
