What is the actual name for native Americans?

Like with native Australians it's Aboriginal so what is it for native Americans? Or does it only go by tribe names? Because Aboriginals have that too like the Awabikal tribe and the Wangi Wangi tribe who lived in my area but I am referring to the collective native people.
