if you wish to be "Green" about it, put it in your weekly recycle pickup bin. i would not recommend using it directly for compost without first composting it, as the nitrogen level will be too high. However, many neighbors with overgrown yards are known for composting, so if you insert it in a paper sack and deposit on their porch, with your name and address clearly written on the outside of the bag, usually they will return it in a timely fashion
