Birth control pills and alcohol?

I take an oral contraceptive to regulate and what not.. Yesterday I saw a doentary on pregnancy and it said that often pregnant women are deterred from alcohol as a natural instinct to protect their babies even before they know they are pregnant. Since the pill is designed to make your body believe that it is pregnant, does this lead you to find alcohol appalling? I can't even smell it it's so gross.
