Is it a good/bad idea to make food each day of the week and save half for 1 week later?? (HLP ON FREEZING)?

just do your regular cooking and save half for tomorrow least cooking and you get to save portions or you can cook save half cook save half the eat the first saved half and the next eat the other one so example: chicken, pot roast ( save half of each then eat) chicken left over , pot roast left over
