Does pepper spray work to deter pets from planting areas?

Hello Beam me up, Nice name, and I bet you wished you could beam the cat�s that are coming into your garden & using it as a public loo, Yes you can use pepper powder , this will make theeir little bottom�s hot . But there is another way , sound�s silly but I have tried it and it works. Get some really thin wire , and nail the wire from one side of your flower bed to the other, say about hand high from the ground. The cat�s don�t go under it to get into the flower beds, & they wont jump over it. strange , don�t you think? it has something to do with their whisker�s touching the wire , I was told, But you try for yourself , it works
